Hotel Bars Manager Required for Five Star Hotel in Co Kilkenny €Salary €40k Live In Available

Recruitment Needs Consulting is working with a leading luxury Brand in Co Kilkenny.

They are looking to hire a permanent full-time Hotel Bars Manager to join their existing Senior Management Team at this fantastic property. Previous experience in a high-volume hotel bar outlet is essential for this role. Financially solid skills are also required for this position – budgeting – stock control – forecasting, and costing.

The Hotel is after a talented professional who is exceptionally passionate about Service Excellence and will take a hands-on role in managing all the onsite beverage outlets. 

This is a crucial role within the management team at the Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and developing 5-star standards ensuring their team is sufficiently trained to carry out the highest levels of service, and ensuring attention to detail is applied in every aspect. 

They are looking for someone that is thoroughly professional, well organised, and passionate about delivering world-class service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report daily operating issues to the Food and Beverage manager and the wider management team
  • Manage beverage cost lines with active involvement in purchasing, sales revenue analysis, stock control and stock take.
  • Ensure the bars run smoothly daily and are adequately stocked with all necessary goods.
  • Liaise with HR regarding recruitment needs, training analysis and delivery, and employee relations.
  • Ensure cash procedures are strictly monitored, including preparing and calculating beverage bills within all departments and cashing up tills.
  • Ensure standard Operating Procedures are achieved and maintained at all times and are monitored and updated when and where necessary.
  • Hiring, evaluating and overseeing employees working in the food and beverage outlets at the Hotel.
  • Assist in maximising revenues, cost percentages and menu structure through efficient management
  • Control’s stock and wastage of beverages in the bar.
  • Compile the rosters for all the Beverage outlets


  • Previous high-volume hotel management experience is essential.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is necessary for this position.
  • Flexibility with working hours depending on business levels will be required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the person must be a personable, professional leader
  • Hands-on management style
